Magellan Aerospace is a global aerospace company that provides complex assemblies and systems solutions to aircraft and engine manufacturers, and defense and space agencies worldwide. The manufacture and assembly of components for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program required Magellan to adopt new and advanced manufacturing technologies. We provided expertise supporting the qualification process in advance of production activities.
Once Magellan began production, we supported the planning and evaluation of the first article components of the horizontal stabilizer. We provided ongoing support for process optimization, non-conformance investigation and cost-saving initiatives over the course of the program.
Magellan utilized our expertise and embedded our resources into their operations to help meet production demands. Our ongoing work at Magellan includes supporting cost-reduction activities, process improvements, and tool and facilities qualifications.
